Our volunteers are vital to the success of our school! What would we do without them?

One special volunteer, local horticulturist Billie Elsley, was named 2001-2002 Champion of Youth. This came as no surprise to the Oakland community. Mrs. Elsley established Oakland’s ‘Roots and Shoots’ garden and has spent countless hours designing and preparing beds, cultivating volunteers and plants, and most importantly, teaching children to appreciate the beauty of nature.
